In this role, you’re expected to:

  • Involves in providing day-to-day Yen Equity settlement which includes processing securities settlement, making payments, performing reconciliations, inputting general ledger entries and (complex) calculations. In addition, there will be interaction with other counterparties around settlement.
  • Interaction with teams across Front Office, Middle Office and Settlements in Japan and Hong Kong, as well as custody to manage the trade settlement life cycle.
  • Perform end to end settlement and detail analysis for process improvements.
  • Implement procedure and control changes in response to regulatory and policy changes.
  • Exception management and effective problem solving skills
  • Take part in new business initiatives and new product approvals / New transaction approvals.
  • Coaching and support team members
  • Makes recommendations to management to support process improvement.
  • Timely management and escalation of all inquiries and issues related to settlements
  • Demonstrates strong understanding of products and processes, and of how duties relate/integrate with others in the team and closely related teams
  • Utilizes communication, interpersonal and diplomacy skills to interact with colleagues and stakeholders, and to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information, while being sensitive to audience diversity
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
