What to Expect

Based in Amsterdam, or potentially in another jurisdictionwith significant Tesla operations, the Senior Employment Counsel EMEA /Managing Counsel Employment EMEA provides strategic legal support on employmentmatters across multiple jurisdictions within EMEA. This role requires a deepunderstanding of local and international employment laws, the ability tonavigate complex legal issues, and the ability to work collaboratively andefficiently with various internal stakeholders.

What You’ll Do
  • Advise on a broad range of employment matters including butnot limited to hiring, discipline and terminations, performance management,leave of absence, reorganizations, labour law, works councils and unions,policy proposals, and strategic initiatives across the EMEA region.
  • Manage and resolve demand letters, charges, disputes andother litigation both independently and in consultation with external counsel.
  • Collaborate with local and global legal and HR teams toensure consistency in employment practices and policies across theorganization.
  • Support and advise Employee Relations on employee complaint/ hotline investigation matters and other workplace investigations, as needed.
  • Responsible for supporting employment legal matters relevantto the EMEA region and supporting relevant global employment legal team prioritiesand initiates as driven from headquarters.
  • Establish and maintain relationships, credibility and trustwith business partners, HR, legal and other colleagues.
  • Provide thought partnership to other EMEA employmentlawyers.
What You’ll Bring
  • Experience with a top-tier international law firm and a top multinational company.
  • Licensed to practice law in a jurisdiction of significantTesla operations, preferably the Netherlands.
  • Specialized in Dutch employment law with experience withDutch Works Councils. Experience and knowledge of other EMEA employment lawsand regulations is required.
  • Ability to make sound business decisions quickly and in theface of ambiguity and uncertainty.
  • Ability to independently manage and prioritize multipleprojects with multiple teams simultaneously.
  • Ability to identify issues and propose and implementpractical solutions quickly.
  • Strong communication, writing, presentation andorganizational skills.
  • Desire and ability to work independently andcross-functionally in a fast-paced and fast changing environment.
