Work with cutting edge technology

You will gather requirements, design, implement , maintain tools and infrastructure used by development and test teams. You will work with industry standard tools to reduce risk and improve security of our software. Develop software solutions to:1. Detect vulnerabilities with the aim of providing seamless risk mitigation development experience
2. Build our next generation Cloud Native build and test infrastructure

As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

• Creating new features and building tools from conception through release to ensure customers have an exceptional experience
• Designing and development of highly scalable software that runs on the Akamai infrastructure
• Developing software to enhance our engineering productivity by creating frontend and backend for our vulnerability management and build and test infrastructure
• Partnering with internal cross functional teams to translate requirements into solutions to meet business objectives
• Implementing new features, enhancing and optimizing existing features
• Contributing ideas and knowledge to the process-improvement sessions team to facilitate continuous improvement of our products.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 3+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent
• Have good programming skills and an interest in learning new technologies
• Display in-depth knowledge of Object Oriented programming and test-driven development in Go (our preference) / Python / Java
• Possess hands on experience with service-oriented architecture, REST, microservices, databases, and SQL
• Experience with common CI/CD tools (i.e. Jenkins) and UI frameworks.
• Possess excellent communication skills, be self-driven, positive and an effective team player
