About the role:
Tactical manager of multiple product lines, technology, or specialized function. Devotes a portion of time to managerial, leadership, and staff development responsibilities.
You're Responsibilities include:
- Partners with cross functional leaders to set strategic vision for the business.
- Owns functional deliverables and champions technical excellence for process and product development.
- Provides guidance and training to staff, assists subordinates in attaining career goals, motivates individuals to achieve results, and recruits and maintains a high quality staff.
- Assists in and/or develops departmental budgets and monitors spending. Participates in periodic business metric reviews.
- Assists in and/or determines appropriate staff levels, schedules and resources. Works with other managers to understand priorities and plans resources and time allocation accordingly.
- Prioritizes and manages execution of multiple department projects.
- Monitors and evaluates project and department progress and results.
- Manages Operations functional deliverables and ensures technical excellence for product development.
- Maintains and enhances cross-functional team relationships.
- Establishes and influences cross-functional relationships to identify and resolve production/engineering issues ensuring root cause is understood and addressed.
- Champions engineering support of production initiatives, quality, and new product activities.
- Supports and/or leads Operations Value Improvement Process (VIP) or Strategic Activity Review (STAR) sponsored projects.
- Develops departmental metrics and objectives and monitors progress.
- Ensures engineering support of production initiatives.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in: Engineering field: Industrial, Electrical, Electromechanical, Mecatronica, or related field
- English Level desired: 90 – 94%
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience managing a team of 5-7 employees
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Desired knowledge: Medical device industry, Strong communication skills with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization, formal training on statistical and quality techniques, Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean, Problem Solving, Process Improvement, Project Management, budget management, people management, and task control
