Primary Responsibilities Include:
  • Drafting and negotiating a broad range of product, licensing, subscription, confidentiality, and services agreements.
  • Maintaining corporate governance for local subsidiary and supporting corporate changes.
  • Providing legal support to RRHH, Global Procurement, and Finance.
  • Closely collaborating with key cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Performing continuous improvement of standard form agreements, policies and processes.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize workloads and communicate with all levels of the organization including senior management.
  • Developing strategies to deal with outside counsels in the Region, to direct their work and ensure their cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and capacity to work in multidisciplinary non-legal groups. Ability to prioritize work, effectively manage a large number of issues at one time.
Background/Qualifications:
  • Law degree and 5-10 years of relevant in-house experience, preferably software licensing transaction experience.
  • Knowledge of public contracting practices in Brazil.
  • Licensed to practice, in Brazil.
  • Strong negotiation skill.
  • Ability to work in collaboration.
  • Advanced communication and written skills.
  • Fluency oral and written in English and Portuguese.
  • Experience in with I.T. agreements is a strong plus.
