Role and Responsibilities

Duties:Apply engineering expertise towards OAMP and FCAPS subsystem integration and troubleshooting in wireless networks. Work to drive engineering support teams to troubleshoot commercial NMS/EMS application issues, propose workarounds, and work with R&D to provide the RCA (Root Cause Analysis) to the customer. Assist with development of engineering product requirements, feature requirements, systems and performance analysis, Work with the team to conduct deep-dive customer sessions, new technology introduction of 4G/5G RAN Network Management features and introduction of virtualized networks. Assist with engineering analysis of the customer requirements, converting them into system requirements and capturing of detail design for the development team. Assist with Technical Management of new engineering products and SW releases to ensure that promised features are delivered with expected performance. Provide engineering technical support in the pre-sales process and create compelling technical and commercial solutions to help achieve the assigned sales goals and business objectives. Translate and communicate complex technical design considerations between the sales team and carriers’ network business. Work closely with various support organizations and cross- functional teams to achieve successful new product rollouts and developments.

Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as an Engineer II, System Structure Design or related occupation in virtualized solutions in wireless networks. Of the 6 years of experience must have included: (1) Experience with OAMP, FCAPS and OSS for EMS, NMS and RAN network elements; (2) Experience with OAMP and FCAPS subsystem design and development in wireless networks; (3) Experience with Unix/Linux, scripting tools including PERL, TCL, and Shell; (4) Experience with troubleshooting experience using command-line tools and scripts; (5) Experience with SNMP and TNM protocols and NMS and OSS interfaces; and (6) Experience with High Availability and redundancy systems.

: 20% domestic travel required.
