Looking for a different challenge as a tender specialist

Reporting into the Market Access Lead, you will have critical responsibility for the management of national tenders across the entire HIV & hospital portfolio. With a priority focus on the execution of our company’s strategy, ensuring alignment with company strategic priorities and the needs of key government and hospital stakeholders.

You will be a role model, visibly demonstrating our company values and expectations to internal employees and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities include, however not limited to:

  • Collaborating with different stakeholders as well as relevant hospital accounts to ensure efficient availability and management of company portfolio with relevant tenders and contracts.
  • Contributing to the overarching direction for the business’s approach to responding to national tenders for HIV & hospital portfolio products.
  • Collaborating with our company’s CFT team and supporting the definition of the strategic focus of our company business related to HIV & hospital portfolio of products.
  • Maintaining and building relationships with key stakeholders, to enhance and protect company strategic objectives.
  • The HIV & Tenders Specialist lays the foundation for a long-term collaboration and partnership with key hospitals/ accounts. The HIV & Tenders Specialist ensures value proposition of company products are clearly understood in order to shape tenders and formularies with most relevant customers. The specialist creates and account plan with customized tactics, solutions for every key account. The HIV & Tenders Specialist also builds internal relationships and coordinates an entire cross-functional team. Sets up cross-functional teams within the company to develop projects that respond to customers and business needs.

Account Understanding and Analysis

  • Business analysis of the account environment account and finds overlaps with business objectives.
  • Actively participates in account “diagnosis” including customers’ needs and segmentation.

Support for Tender Management

  • Understanding the customer’s tender procurement process, key decision makers and influencers- this includes understanding the full tendering cycle (annually or across years) including when the tender is being developed, and how and when key inputs (specs, volumes) are determined and reviewed.
  • Inform to the stakeholders of the tenders about the formularies and selection of criteria.
  • Track competitive information regarding who the competitors are, price, product specifications, service, patient programs, etc. Understand the range of tender competition from same molecule INN to Therapeutic area level competition.

Education & Experience:

  • University (business or scientific),
  • 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience in customer facing role
