Key Responsibilities:
Data Ecosystem Development:
- Assist in building and expanding the data ecosystem to effectively support our manufacturing division’s projects and portfolios.
- Enhance integrations across various tools and platforms, focusing on Power BI, PowerAutomate, and PowerApps.
Technical Subject Matter Expertise:
- Serve as the technical SME for the Power suite of applications implemented for our Project & Portfolio Management tool.
- Uphold best practices and provide technical know-how to the team regarding PowerAutomate and PowerApps functionalities.
Data Governance and Availability:
- Understand and enhance data governance processes to promote smoother data utilization across the division.
- Collaborate with source system SMEs to develop a comprehensive data availability strategy.
Problem Solving and Innovation:
- Tackle complex technical and business challenges by formulating appropriate solutions and leveraging cloud technologies.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and adapt to new technologies and patterns.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Effectively communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Work within an agile team structure, participating in scrum meetings and providing updates on project progress.
Development and Maintenance of Analytical Tools:
- Design and implement data models, transformations, and calculations for PowerBI reports, dashboards, and dataflows.
- Develop, test, and enhance interactive visualizations, ensuring usability and clarity for end-users.
Operational Excellence:
- Manage daily operations including maintaining version control, release management, and deployment processes for Power BI artifacts.
- Troubleshoot issues related to data refreshes, dataflows, and report accuracy, collaborating with users to resolve concerns.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, data integration, or engineering roles, with a focus on Power BI, PowerAutomate, and PowerApps.
Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with programming languages such as Python for data handling and transformation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD patterns in data modeling and integration processes.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
- Ability to analyze complex data scenarios and devise effective solutions.
- Experience in designing integrations between analytical tools and optimizing data workflows.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with fluency in English.
- Ability to convey technical concepts to a non-technical audience clearly and effectively.
Industry Knowledge:
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and systems, including ERP, quality management, and supply chain operations, is a plus.
