QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be within 1 year of graduation and not have started in a full time industry position since graduation from most recent degree
  • BA/BS/MS in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or related quantitative field
  • Finance or Accounting experience/internships in either a start-up environment or IB/Equity Research is preferred
  • Experience using Excel and Powerpoint (Ability to build reports, dashboards, pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, etc.)
  • Understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Experience in using Tableau or similar - desired
  • Recognized professional qualification(s) CA/CPA/CIA is a plus
  • Experience with Adaptive Insights is a plus
  • Experience with cloud-based or software as a service (SAAS) companies is a plus.
  • Salesforce, Vertex, Stripe, lockbox and Workday Financials ERP experience is a plus
  • Thorough understanding and adherence to applicable SOX controls is a plus
TEAM DESCRIPTIONS:

Financial Planning & Analysis: Corporate, R&D, or G&A Analyst

  • Build and enhance our short- and long-term forecasting model to support critical expansion and operational strategies
  • Deliver and craft high-quality presentations for senior executives and investors
  • Provide detailed reporting, building scalable processes, and driving strategic initiatives
  • Develop expertise in understanding how our customer's consumption and costs translate to the P&L
  • Help prepare monthly financial review packages and month/quarter-end close process
  • Provide in-depth financial analysis and forecasting related to headcount, department expenses, CAPEX, corporate allocations and company software spend

Business Intelligence Analyst

  • Develop and maintain company-wide analytics reporting and processes that provide insights to business performance and key company metrics for a fast-growing, SaaS-based company
  • Develop data collection and appropriate analytical tools, models, and processes
  • A strong willingness to learn SQL, Python, or Excel to manipulate data (experience is a plus)
  • Required: A BS or MS in a quantitative field (e.g. Operations Research, Economics, Statistics, Sciences, Engineering)

Sales Finance Analyst

  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, HR, and Finance
  • Generate trended monthly expense analysis to improve visibility into areas such
  • as Professional Services, Software Subscriptions and Travel
  • Prepare monthly financial review packages and support the month/quarter-end close process for business partners in order to review expenses, discuss variances and update forecasts

Investor Relations Analyst

  • Drive better understanding of Snowflake’s positioning and emerging trends for our management team by analyzing financial research/information about our peers and the industry
  • Support the quarterly earnings results process, schedule, and the content of strategic news releases
  • Assist with competitive and strategic analysis on our peers, and the industry as well as buy/sell-side trends to help keep management aware of the markets and investor views on Snowflake

Tax/Treasury Analyst

  • Investments:
    • Interest income reporting and forecast preparation
    • Asset manager compliance testing and reporting using Clearwater
    • Performance attribution analysis
  • Working Capital Management:
    • Control Daily cash management, initiate payments, anticipate short-term borrowing needs and communicate them to proper personnel
    • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
  • Reporting:
    • Build Treasury dashboard, maintain and enhance cash forecasting
    • Build and maintain bank fee analysis and treasury budget preparation
  • Financial Controls and Compliance:
    • Support Treasury S-Ox reporting, S-Ox control documentation of sales and use tax a property tax process controls
    • Support tax reconciliation processes

Corporate Development & Ventures Analyst

  • Partner closely with product, engineering and business leaders to source, evaluate, execute and integrate acquisition opportunities and venture investments
  • Assist in M&A business proposals, due diligence
  • Assist with cross-functional post-merger integration efforts, and in executing and monitoring venture investments

Internal Audit Analyst

  • Support our Business Internal Controls assessment, other operational Audits and investigations
  • Review the business processes, develop and update Risk and Control Matrices, flowcharts, and testing procedures
  • Assess and analyze the impact of control deficiencies and audit findings; gain stakeholder agreement on root causes of issues and appropriate corrective actions, while maintaining positive business relationships

Billing Analyst

  • Communicate with client’s inquiries and internal requests
  • Manage, Monitor and Analyze all billing presentment portals daily
  • Support the team with providing the required support for external, internal and SOX audits (primarily during the quarter and year-end audits)
  • Update Account Information as requested by external and internal customers
  • Develop an understanding of Billing systems including the Billing Engine, Salesforce (SFDC), and Workday (WD) and be able to present an in depth overview of system knowledge to an extended audience
  • Add value and identify process improvements and system enhancements based on prior knowledge gained from previous FRP rotations
  • Act as the point person for the Billing Playbook and meet with process owners to revise as needed
  • Perform a full reconciliation and clean up of the Billing G-Drive
  • Create reports in Salesforce (SFDC)

Transformation Analyst

  • Assist in gathering and documenting accounting requirements/wishlist for automation
  • Prepare project documentation & articulate solutions needed from a business perspective
  • Draft proposed workflows with feedback from business users, including updated controls documentation
  • Using RPA (Robotic process automation) to automate repetitive manual work.

Accounting Analyst

  • Learn about various accounting focus areas (Accruals, Leases, Capitalized Software, etc.) by understanding an underlying business process as well as applicable accounting guidance
  • Participate in month end close activities, such as preparation of journal entries, reconciliations and variance analyses
  • Collaborate with various business partners (such as Engineering, FP&A, Workplace) on collecting, analyzing and ensuring integrity of various data used in accounting processes
  • Assist in various process improvement projects, including automation, user acceptance testing (UAT) and new system and process implementations

Procurement

  • Serve as a Procurement partner and liaison to the business supporting all designated functions, Procurement projects, and vendor onboarding & management
  • Collaborate with Snowflake’s Legal and Security departments to ensure compliance with requirements and standard contract terms
  • Measure, manage and improve supplier performance against negotiated SLAs and quality metrics
  • Partner with our Global Contracts team to review Contracts and redline documents
  • Assist with the management of Snowflake’s supply chain
  • Help with all aspects of negotiations, including the creation of negotiation plans
  • Support the Travel and Expense Process

Alliances Finance Analyst

This is an exciting opportunity to learn about Snowflake’s Alliances Partner ecosystem and incentive programs.

  • Support month end and quarter end close process for Partner programs: prepare accruals, update forecast, perform variance analysis
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting pack for review with business and finance teams
  • Review and audit monthly incentives payment calculations and address any gaps
  • Track and report Partner Programs budget utilization and performance metrics
  • Perform financial analysis to evaluate ROI for Partner programs
  • Collaborate with Finance, Alliances Programs team, Sales Operations, IT , legal and Accounting teams to support month end process and execution of Partner Programs
  • Assist with cross-functional initiatives, focused on supporting Alliances leadership to design, build, and scale Snowflake’s GTM programs
  • Ensure compliance and alignment to Partner programs governance and Internal Audit

Sales Strategy Analyst

  • Assist with cross-functional Sales Strategy & Business Operations initiatives, focused on supporting sales leadership to design, build, and scale Snowflake’s GTM
  • Lead and support project-based initiatives tied to one or more team strategic pillars: Market & Business Planning, Industry & Ecosystem Strategy; and Programs for Industry, Market Access, Market Expansion, and Marketplaces & Pricing
  • Provide quantitative and qualitative analyses to inform strategic planning, decision support, advocacy, launching and scaling new growth initiatives, and designing and optimizing strategic programs and processes
  • Assist with annual planning processes such as capacity planning and investment business case development

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $69,000 - $91,300.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan.
