As an Application Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the application systems that are vital to our firm's daily operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead automation and monitoring improvements across application and infrastructure environments using tools such as Control-M, Netcool, Splunk, Dynatrace, and OpenSearch.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and fine-tune application alerts to prevent incident-related issues.
- Collaborate with the Merchant Services SRE team and partner with AD and infrastructure teams to enhance customer experience.
- Support cloud adoption readiness and deployment journey refinement.
- Provide weekend support as part of a rotational, shift-based coverage schedule.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years of application support experience.
- Proficient in SQL and experienced in Python, Perl, and shell scripting.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience leveraging Splunk for pattern and trend analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead large conference calls and convey technical information clearly.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in the Banking and Financial services industry, particularly in Change, Incident, and Problem management.
- Domain knowledge in Card Issuing and/or Merchant Acquiring is a plus.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience with the Stratus OpenVOS platform.
- Hands-on experience with Linux and Stratus VOS, including tools and languages such as macros, C, C++, TPF messaging system, Host security module, TCP/IP network protocol, and ISO8583 messaging.
- Past experience with ServiceNow Incident Management, including familiarity with its workflows and best practices for incident resolution.
- A minimum of AWS Cloud Practitioner certification, demonstrating foundational knowledge of AWS cloud services and practices.
