The eDiscovery Project Manager will act as a single point of contact for Legal case managers, advising Legal, IT, Outside Counsel and others on the capabilities and actions required to preserve and/or collect data from Structured Data applications/systems, while ensuring operational processes are defensible, efficient (productive), repeatable, standardized, and flexible to meet and deliver projects in a timely manner and with the required quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive eDiscovery requests requiring the research, preservation or collection of Structured Data applications by understanding the needs of Litigation, while balancing an understanding of technical capabilities.
- Maintain a level of understanding of the business uses for LOB systems from which data is being requested in order to advise on fulfillment method options
- Draft and/or review standard operating procedures and work instruction documentation
- Act as SME for fellow team members and Business partners on historical requests and procedures
- Anticipate, understand and proactively address questions related to fulfilling requests
- Identify issues, solicit feedback from partners of various staff levels and provide recommendations
- Work in collaboration with IT, Business Areas and Legal to identify opportunities where value-added services, process improvement and systems can provide significant business benefit
- Communicate issues and problems to case teams, manage expectations and track to resolution
- Develop and communicate requirements for eDiscovery to IT and 3rdparties
- Perform Quality Checking of own work product
- Act as central contact for special projects and non-standard data sources
