JOB DESCRIPTION

The newly created Senior Channel Compliance Specialist role is responsible for partnering with internal commercial teams and our channel partners to drive submission and reporting of Inventory and Point-of-Sale data, operationalizing, and interpreting data insights and supporting our global commercial and channel functions.

Key responsibilities

  1. Channel Partners Compliance and Reporting:
  • Partner with regional sales, sales excellence, and channel teams to drive Point-of-Sale and Inventory data reporting among non-reporting channel partners.
  • Participate in channel partner meetings as needed and requested by sales teams.

Data Monitoring and Presentation:

  • Develop and maintain trackers/dashboards/scorecards to monitor data reporting compliance.
  • Present compliance data internally to Building Automation commercial teams and stakeholders for weekly and monthly review

3. Communication with Leadership and Core Stakeholders

  • Engage with regional GMs, business VPGMs, and other commercial leaders to provide updates on their regions’ / business’ compliance.
  • Regularly present an overview of the current state/intended progress/say-do performance to BA and functional leaders. Incorporate feedback into ongoing processes as part of continuous improvement.

Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions:

  • Conduct comprehensive root cause analysis to identify reasons for partner non-compliance.
  • In partnership with senior commercial and functional leaders identify incentives to improve compliance, formulate corrective action plans and secure buy-in from relevant commercial stakeholders.
  • Partner with account owners and commercial leadership to execute corrective actions.
  • Monitor and report on progress, adjusting actions if desired results are not achieved.

Key skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
  • 3+ years of overall business experience in marketing, sales, commercial operations, or commercial excellence, preferably within channel-focused industries or companies
  • Strong professional maturity as indicated by current or past experience working with various stakeholders from peers to company executives.
  • Experience with engaging external customers and partners.
  • Experience with analytical software: Excel, Salesforce, PowerBI and Tableau

Nice to have.

  • 2+ years of channel marketing or channel operations experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivation and self-management
  • The ability to build consensus across various functional groups.
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong interest in driving commercial growth in complex business environments and large matrixed organizations.
