Your responsibilities will include:
- Leadership – Recruiting, coaching, talent development/retention, and performance management of software engineers to achieve business priorities and complete development programs
- Product Development Execution – Utilize appropriate processes and development methodologies to enable highly efficient, quality non-medical device development. Develop and drive quality and productivity improvement initiatives. Sustain existing product lines. Ensure process adherence and attention to quality across the development team.
- Innovation – Monitor and anticipate industry and technology trends to ensure competitive and compliant systems that are well-positioned for future needs. Leverage technology, AI, processes, and organizational tools to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Collaboration & Communication – Communicate effectively with senior leadership, peers, direct reports, and cross-functional partners, including System Test, DevOps, the Cardiac Monitoring Center (CMC), Marketing & Product Management, Regulatory, Operations, IT, Patient Safety, and Quality.
- Project Staffing and Planning – Work with Program Managers and technical leaders to resource, estimate and plan project schedules and development milestones. Ensures resource workload is balanced and prioritized across direct reports and project teams.

Required qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in the field of software engineering or minimum of 8 years relevant work experience with a master’s degree
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Software Engineering Manager.
- Knowledgeable in web, mobile, and cloud hosted solutions.
- Proven attributes and skills in the areas of leadership, people development, collaboration, communication and innovation as described above.
Preferred qualifications:
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Proven ability to create a positive working culture within a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience as a software leader, architecting and delivering customer-facing solutions.
- Medical device product development or similar experience.
