Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for planning, development, and maintenance of services within the Inventory Orchestration application
  • Accountable for all phases of the development process - analysis, design, construction, testing and implementation; provides user and operational support on applications to business users
  • Coordinate global testing and schedule application rollouts
  • Performance analysis of problems to identify business impact and root causes
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. Conduct performance tuning and debugging to improve application performance and reliability.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and help to define and communicate a strategic roadmap for the application
  • Partner with business and development teams to identify engineering requirements and assist in defining application and system requirements and processes and maintain engineering relationships with the end user/client
  • Provide solutions and processes in accordance with audit initiatives and requirements and consult with Business Information Security officers (BISOs) and TISOs
  • Exhibit in-depth understanding of engineering concepts and principles
  • Assist with training activities and mentor junior team member

Key Skills and Experience Required:

Technical Skills

  • Multiple years of relevant experience in an Engineering role
  • Strong core Java skills
  • Strong experience with Spring Boot
  • Experience with developing secure, scalable, reliable applications using microservices
  • Strong experience with MongoDB
  • Experience with cloud based architectures such as OpenShift or Kubernetes
  • Strong experience with Unix or Linux
  • Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment

Non-Technical Skills Required:

  • Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to and take ownership and drive strategy of various parts of a project or initiative
  • Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Proven track record of operational process change and improvement

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
