Learning & Talent Management Professional, you will

In this impactful role, duties and responsibilities include:

Jacobs University Liaison

  • Consultation and Advisory: provide expert L&TM advice to heads or deans of each school, assist in the identification of training needs and the support of training strategies, and offer insights on best practices in adult learning, program management and instructional design.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with school heads, deans, and other key stakeholders and meet with them regularly to ensure alignment and address any concerns.
  • Connect school heads and deans with the appropriate L&TM resources, including subject matter experts, instructional designers, and systems experts.
  • Quality Assurance: Provide guidance on the development and implementation of training programs to ensure they meet the company’s standards and objectives. Review and provide feedback on training materials and delivery methods.
  • Continuous Improvement: stay updated on trends and developments in L&TM, share knowledge and insights with the schools to continuously improve training programs, and advise on evaluation approaches
  • Facilitate programs and courses aligned to the University, as needed.

Graduate Development Program (GDP) Management

  • Facilitate global GDP content, inductions, manager training, stakeholder engagement and communication
  • Capture and analyse a broad range of metrics to provide insights, demonstrate impact and drive continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with Operational and Functional Leadership, Talent Acquisition, HR and other groups critical to the success of the program
  • Make strategic recommendations and improvements based on market and the business’ strategy
  • Support graduates and their line managers in the completion of the program
  • Maintain accurate oracle data for internal and external reporting and salary planning
  • Contribute to global enhancements of the GDP

Facilitate global Learning & Talent Development Programs

  • Deliver training programs in line with program requirements face-to-face and virtually
  • Ensure facilitation commitments are upheld; provide a substitute facilitator if the need arises
  • Establish credibility as a facilitator and serve as a role-model for effective facilitation
  • Encourage active participation, build learner motivation, and deliver constructive feedback
Here's what you'll need
  • At least 5 years of experience in Learning & Development, including designing and facilitating training
  • Ability to think strategically about L&D needs and solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders and influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels
  • Knowledge of organizational development strategies that can support the enhancement of productivity, drive program visibility and growth, and align the workforce with company goals.
  • Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with various teams and departments
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and find effective solutions
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, training and facilitation
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with measurement techniques for tracking program effectiveness and incorporating feedback mechanisms for continuous improvement.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Program management experience in HR and/or L&D
  • Previous experience in a consulting or engineering firm
  • Working in a global team or multi-cultural company
  • Cultural awareness and competence
  • Ability to travel (10% as needed)
