Support development of next generation digital cockpit and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. Work closely with engineers to validate device performance, debug unit failures, and create factory test procedures. Install, maintain and support device rack infrastructure.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop factory test processes and procedures for automotive development platforms
Support factory technicians in integration of manufacturing test flows
Support design verification testing of platforms in the lab
Troubleshoot and repair defective platforms
Maintain and manage labs and lab equipment
Support Device Farm
Hardware Installation: Install, configure, and upgrade hardware components in the device racks as needed.
Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of rack layouts, equipment configurations, and maintenance activities.
Incident Response: Respond to and resolve technical issues and incidents in a timely manner.
Collaboration: Work closely with other IT and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and 1+ year of Support Engineering or related work experience.
Associate's degree and 2+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience.
High School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience.
*Completed advanced degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one year (Master’s = one year) of work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
The candidate will possess 1-2 years of experience in lab environment with emphasis on baseband hardware test support in a R&D development environment
Sound understanding of basic digital and analog electrical principles and ability to interpret schematics
Practical lab experience troubleshooting hardware using computer, test equipment, and test system knowledge
Proficient using lab test equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters
Familiar with Windows environment, able to install and troubleshoot software and hardware drivers
Ability to solder small components (0402)
Ability to work and stay organized in a high pace development environment
Ability to generate clear instructions and procedures for technicians to follow
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Experience maintaining rack room infrastructure
Proficiency in hardware troubleshooting and network configuration
3+ years of experience in lab environment with emphasis on baseband hardware test support in a R&D development environment
Experience in automated test system support such as supporting test in a manufacturing environment
Experience with C/C++/C# or Python and ability to write basic scripts for test flow automation
Experience managing lab benches and equipment
Familiarity with software debug tools like JTAG debuggers
Ability to use schematic capture tools
Proactive person that shows successful Team Management skills
