Description
Edit raw footage into cohesive and compelling video content - following project guidelines and creative direction Assemble footage, create sequences, add transitions, and integrate visual and audio elements - ensuring seamless transitions between different camera anglesEnsure the final edit meets all technical specifications, including aspect ratios, resolution, and file formats. Create and integrate engaging motion graphics (titles, transitions, and other visual elements) and animations that enhance the visual appeal and storytelling of the video content.Ensure that the final video effectively communicates the intended message and aligns with project objectives.Create rough and final cutsPerform colour correction to adjust exposure, contrast, and colour balance, ensuring consistency across all footage.Apply colour grading techniques to enhance the mood and style of the videoCollaborate with team members to understand project requirements and incorporate feedbackThorough understanding of post-production timelinesMeet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyCreate and maintain digital archive - organise and manage video assets, including raw footage, audio files, graphics and back ups for completed projectsMaintain editing software and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Proven experience in video editing and colour grading, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in both areas ideally in mid to large studios/production companies, agencies, advertising/marketing or network environment.
  • Experience with various video styles: commercials, corporate videos, feature films/documentaries and social media clips.
  • Expert level of proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
  • Expert level of proficiency in colour grading software (e.g., DaVinci Resolve, Adobe SpeedGrade, Premiere Pro).
  • Proficiency in sound mixing and mastering - ability to work with multi-track split audio - talent for sound design
  • Proficiency in Photoshop
  • Proficiency with motion graphics and visual effects (e.g., Adobe After Effects)
  • Familiarity with special effects.
  • Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, and compression techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail, visual storytelling and continuity.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project and time-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Film Production, Media Studies, Digital Media, Cinematography or a related field is preferred.
