As a DevOps Apprentice, you’ll be at the forefront of innovation, bridging the gap between software development and IT operations. You’ll work on cutting-edge technologies, automate processes, and ensure the seamless delivery of valuable software to our global users.A day in the life can involve:- Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines for rapid and safe software deployment
- Script and code in multiple languages to orchestrate infrastructure and ensure robust testing
- Implement security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle
- Monitor and optimise system performance using advanced tools and techniques
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement using advanced tools and techniquesWe welcome individuals from all backgrounds who are eager to learn new technologies and programming languages and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires continuous upskilling. You’ll need to have a proactive approach to identify opportunities for process improvements and an analytical mindset to solve complex problems, identify route causes and develop innovative solutions. You’ll think strategically to anticipate challenges and proactively implement preventative measures. It’s important that you have excellent collaborative and communication skills demonstrated by working effectively in cross-functional teams as you’ll be liaising with developers, IT operations, and stakeholders to successfully convey complex information.You will gain a vast range of useful experiences and skills whilst working towards the Level 4 DevOps Engineer Apprenticeship standard. As a working student your focus is to complete your studies in your 20% off the job time by learning and developing your skills, knowledge and behaviours to work towards successful graduation. You will be set objectives and goals by your training provider and manager to support your studies. Please note: As part of your off-the-job learning, you may be required to travel to a training centre. This location may differ from your primary work base. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

For the apprenticeship programme we prioritise applicants eligible to government funding for their apprenticeship and for this you need to:
- Be 18 years or over before the start date
- Have the right to live and work in England (if you are on a visa, this needs to enable you to legally work and reside in England for the entire duration of the programme).
- Have lived in the UK or in the European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 years
- Be a resident of the UK for the entire duration of the programme
- Not be registered to study on a UK government funded course ending August 2025 or later
- Have 5 GCSEs Grade C/ 4 or above including Maths and English.
- Have an A Level in STEM subject, or BTEC Diploma in STEM subject, or Level 3 IT apprenticeshipPLEASE NOTE: This position is a 24 month fixed-term contract.You must NOT already have a qualification in a similar subject at the same or higher level than this apprenticeshipPlease note, you will be required to evidence your qualifications. If you have gained qualifications outside of the UK you will be required to evidence that they are equivalent. Note: This Apprenticeship assumes the candidate has some or little knowledge/experience of the occupation, and is NOT suitable for candidates who already have a similar or higher-level qualification in the same or similar subject of the apprenticeship.
