Department Overview
Forecast Methodologies is part of TBSM's Enterprise Stress Testing (EST), responsible for central ownership and analysis of the balance sheet and income Statement Forecast Methodologies for EWST & MST.
The Canadian Line of Business Vertical team within EST is a cross-functional group supporting the end-to-end stress testing functions for TD's Canadian businesses including P&C, Wealth, and Insurance. Our work encompasses multiple workstreams including data aggregation, model execution, model development, reporting/analytics, governance, and supporting regulatory requirements.
Customer
- Develop and document a comprehensive inventory of processes and controls with clearly defined owners and roles and responsibilities for each process and control.
- Provide specialized business governance and control related advice / support to management / leadership and respective teams for area(s) of specialization.
- Lead on the implementation of governance and control initiatives in support of the overall business/function strategy
- Manage a set of business governance and control work activities requiring coordination across multiple areas.
- Review processes and controls and “connect the dots” across issues and control deficiencies to increase standardization of solutions, processes, and controls.
- Support / manage the integrated implementation of policies / processes / procedures / changes across multiple functional areas.
- Provide subject matter expertise toprojects/initiatives,and participate in identifying, designing and testing solutions and supporting implementation activities.

- Ensure programs / policies / practices are well managed, meets business needs / priorities, and complies with internal / external requirements.
- Exercise discretion in managing communication / correspondence, information, and all matters of confidentiality.
- Conduct research projects; support the development / delivery of materials and presentations to management or broader audience.
- Conduct analysis at the functional or enterprise level using results to draw conclusions, make recommendations, assess the effectiveness of programs, policies, or practices.
- Adhere to enterprise frameworks or methodologies that relate to activities for own business area.
- Manage relationships within and across various business lines, corporate and/or control functions and ensure alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirements.
- May lead work streams by acting as a project lead / SME for medium scale projects / initiatives in accordance with project management methodologies.
- Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escalate nonstandard, high-risk transactions / activities as necessary.
- Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite.

Education & Experience
- Undergraduate degree required, advanced technical degree preferred (e.g., math, physics, engineering, finance or computer science)
- 2+ years relevant experience
- Canadian P&C, Wealth and/or Insurance experience or associated finance support considered beneficial.
- Experience with Stress Testing & Knowledge of PPNR requirements preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Proven interpersonal and consultative communication skills with well-developed presentation skills.
- Ability to successfully plan, develop, lead, and execute projects.
- Ability to manage competing priorities effectively, making good decisions based on business priorities and objectives.
- A highly analytical person with excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and with ability to think conceptually.
