As a Senior Accessibility Analyst in the, you will play a crucial role in facilitating conformance testing for web pages. Your responsibilities will include verifying compliance with the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 standards and ensuring adherence to the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 508, and other laws related to accessibility. This position offers the chance to experiment with new concepts, act as a subject matter expert for the wider team and work closely with our partners. Your enthusiasm for digital accessibility, excellent communication abilities, and understanding of current accessibility standards will be vital for your success in this role.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Performing all testing activities for initiatives across one or more assigned projects, utilizing processes, methods and software that provide advisory of accessibility for all customer-facing web pages.
  • Reporting WCAG failures
  • Providing remediation details for WCAG 2.1 failures with accessible code solutions
  • Partnering with the development, design, and product teams to remediate failures and identify conformance requirements during exploratory phases.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 3+ years of quality assurance experience (system testing, planning/coordinating test activities, accountable for test case development and defect resolution, use of ALM or JIRA)
  • Experience working with Assistive Technology (AT) - JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack screen readers, Browser accessibility analyzers, Color Contrast Analyzer
  • Knowledge of Section 508 of the U.S. ADA Section 508 and W3C WCAG 2.1 standards
  • Experience in WAI-ARIA, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript related to accessibility failures.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills required.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work, in a team, and with/without direction is imperative.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Human Computer Interaction, or a related discipline.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • UAT and/or accessibility testing or developing for accessibility
  • Familiar with a CMS (i.e. AEM) is a plus.
  • Designing for Accessibility experience is plus.
