Job responsibilities
- Evaluate and remediate PDF documents to meet accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1 and Section 508.
- Modify PDF forms for accessibility, ensuring compliance with labels and input fields.
- Conduct testing using assistive technologies to verify PDF usability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address accessibility issues and implement best practices.
- Maintain documentation of the remediation process and changes made.
- Provide training and support on creating accessible PDF documents.
- Monitor compliance with accessibility standards to ensure ongoing adherence.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5+ years of experience in PDF review/remediation and document testing.
- Experience with accessibility assessments using tools like Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Strong knowledge of WCAG and PDF/UA standards.
- Proficiency in screen reading software such as JAWS and NVDA.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Familiarity with testing tools like PAC and Color Contrast Analyzer.
