Some of your key tasks will involve:
- Build and Maintain Trusted Relationships with Key Stakeholders: Cultivate strong, ongoing partnerships with educational institutions and community organizations to align on mutual goals and build our talent pipeline.
- Own the SDC Student Programs: Take full responsibility for the design, implementation, and management of programs aimed at integrating students and recent graduates into the professional environment, providing them with valuable work experience.
- Develop SDC People-Related Policies and Procedures: Regularly review and update internal policies and procedures related to human resources to ensure they are current, fair, and effectively support the SDC's goals and employee needs.
- Coach in Career and Performance Conversations: Engage with employees in meaningful discussions about their career aspirations and performance, offering constructive feedback and actionable advice to foster their development.
- Act as an Escalation Point for People Concerns: Be the escalation point for addressing and resolving complex employee issues, ensuring fair treatment, and maintaining a positive workplace.
- Build Awareness in Regional Victoria: Implement strategies to increase the organization's presence in Regional Victoria, contributing to broader business and talent development goals.
What we’re looking for

- Experience managing regulatory employment standards, including contracts, awards, and national legislation.
- Experience in a Service Delivery or Managed Services environment.
- Demonstrated experience in a HR or Training and Development role.
- Demonstrated experience in leading, coaching or managing diverse teams.
- Ability to develop and maintain lasting relationships with the team, management, and business stakeholders.
- A mindset of continuous improvement, with excellent organisation, time management and problem-solving skills
- Desire to have a meaningful impact and contribute to building a better working world.
