In this technical role within SMGS, you will architect enterprise-grade Amazon Web Services solutions, own the technical relationship and deliverables for a GSI, develop and execute multi-day workshops, lead white boarding sessions, author white papers and blog posts, and respond to complex technical inquiries.Key job responsibilities
As a strategic member of the EMEA Partner Solution Architect team, you will act as a trusted advisor to our managed global systems integrators. This includes:• Provide the architectural guidance and recommendations necessary to promote successful partner engagements worldwide.
• Work closely with Partner Development Managers, Partner Sales and other Solutions Architects throughout the lifecycle of customer engagements.
• Help partners define the approach, tools, and target architecture as they migrate customers or build cloud native solutions on Amazon Web Services
• Validate Partner architectures, deliverables, SoW’s, project plans, and other assets required to successfully deliver partner lead customer engagements.
• Assist solution providers with the definition of technical strategies that will enable them to sell more of their offering on the AWS platform.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge with our broader Solution Architect community.
• Share partner and customer feedback to internal product management and engineering teams to help drive the future of AWS.
• Up to 40% travel is required

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or experience in a professional field or military
- Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries
- Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
- Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Cloud Technology Certification (such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional or Cloud DevOps Engineering)
- Experience in cloud architecture and CXO level engagement
