You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. In this role, you will:
• Lead and manage a team of 5-7 builders
• Understand forecasting, demand planning, material planning, and manufacturing processes to verify supply commitments
• Work with component suppliers and server manufacturers to analyze, reconcile allocation and monitor changes and cancellations
• Oversee global deployment
• Understand the supply chain network and work with various analytics and software development teams, driving automation
• Develop analytical and planning tools and dashboards to track metrics, monitor SLAs, and report findings
• Produce written recommendations and insights for key stakeholders to help shape solution design

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s or an advanced degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field, or additional 4+ years’ work experience in supply chain or sourcing or procurement of hardware in lieu of a degree
- 4+ years of work experience in supply chain, planning, procurement, manufacturing or 2+ years with advanced degree
- 2+ years management experience
- 2+ years of experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, etc..
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience creating, iterating, and improving end-to-end global component sourcing procurement and supply chain strategies
- Excellent creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to solve complex problems that may not have one clear answer
- Advanced knowledge of global component supply chain
- 7 +years professional experience (in high technology or consumer electronics)
- MBA or advanced degree in engineering, operations research, logistics, mathematics or other quantitative disciplines
- Experience with supply chain modeling and other statistical analysis tools
- Advanced knowledge of data center products and their global supply chains
