ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Implements and utilizes ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system. Establishes and maintains all master files with the coordination of Supply Chain Analyst. Ensures the implementation of the material flow system.
  • Procures and forecasts raw materials and packaging according to specifications. Works with other departments of forecasts, budgets, and capacity issues.
  • Supervises purchase orders and sales orders to ensure timely production schedules and the shipment of product.
  • Creates and maintains appropriate materials work instructions per ISO/FDA and customer requirements.
  • Manages supplier performance and initiates follow up and review of supplier corrective actions. Negotiates with suppliers to ensure fair agreements and competitive prices.
  • Maintains accurate dataset for inventory control of raw materials and finished goods. Responsible for overseeing satisfactory inventory levels and accuracy at fiscal month and year end closings.
  • Ensures all interactions, workflow, productivity levels, and quality standards are implemented with a “Customer Service” approach to both internal and external customers.
  • Consistently enforces all site policies, practices, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or Materials Management
  • Emphasis in Finance or Accounting preferred (or relevant work experience).
  • Experience: 8 – 10 years’ experience in materials management in a manufacturing regulated industry.
  • 5 Years of Supervisory/Managerial experience required. Knowledge of FDA regulatory guidelines, cGMP, and ISO requirements preferred.
  • Ability to translate strategies into actionable plans which includes timelines and delivery dates.

Language Skills:

  • Fully bilingual (in both languages, Spanish and English), written and speaking a MUST.
  • Able to understand work related technical documents and translated that into instructions or guidance to employees and peers.
  • Able to write complex memos and instructions in both Spanish and English.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to understand and apply finance and accounting concepts related to budget, capacity, absorption amongst others.
  • Able to perform basic and complex mathematical equations such as: add, subtract, multiplication, division of whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Able to work with ratios and percentages.


Computer Skills:

  • Intermediate user knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, Outlook, Teams and other software’s.
  • Must have exceptional working knowledge of ERP and MRP systems such as SAP.
  • Able to work with graphs in Excel, including Pivot Tables.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • CPIM certification required (or relevant work experience) .
  • APICS certification preferred. Knowledge of QAD Manufacturing Pro a plus.

Communication:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization.
  • Able to communicate and/or escalate critical information in a timely manner.
  • Internal: Manage and supervise direct/indirect Reports: Approximately 4-5 (direct reports) & 15-20 (indirect reports)
  • Develop a proper working relationship with area supervisors, other Company Staff members and Corporate Staff.
  • External: develop a professional relationship with vendors, suppliers and external auditors from government agencies and customer companies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Pharmaceutical or medical devices industry experience


PHYSICAL & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to work irregular and /or extended shift(s) required to complete assignments when necessary.
  • Sitting and/or standing for extended periods may occur as well as getting to and from offices and building sites.
  • If specifically necessitated by customer requirements, must be able to see with or without corrective lenses and distinguish color differences for product and safety issues.
  • Hearing ability should be sufficient to hear and react to audible alarms from distances up to 150 feet.
