About the Role

You'll play a pivotal role in developing and implementing cutting-edge solutions that redefine how we operate in the dynamic Japanese market. From launching new delivery modalities to pioneering sustainable and autonomous delivery initiatives, your ideas will drive real-world change.

Supply Management:

• Lead the acquisition, engagement, and evolution of delivery modalities across Japan supporting the growth targets of all LOBs within the UberEats service.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives and budget management for scalable and cost efficient solutions.

New Business Development:

• Innovate and strategize for growth for new LOBs and collaborate cross functionally to build bespoke solutions for merchants in areas such as grocery services and white label solutions.
• Build the foundation for the future through long-term projects focusing on zero emissions vehicles, autonomous deliveries, and on-platform vehicle marketplace.

Policy, Compliance, and Safety:

• Ensure adherence to industry standards by building and implementing frameworks and processes in collaboration with safety, compliance, legal, and policy teams.
• Manage escalations and specialized support requests related to legal and safety matters.

Team Management:

• Lead and develop a diverse team of motivated individuals, fostering innovation and setting high standards in delivery operations.

What You'll Need

• Analytical Skills : Proficiency in analyzing large datasets to derive actionable insights.
• Independence and Creativity : Demonstrated ability to solve problems independently and creatively.
• Scalability : Experience in developing scalable solutions to complex challenges.
• Empathy : Understanding and empathy towards the experiences of delivery partners.
• Stakeholder Management : Proven experience in managing stakeholders and leading teams.
• Language Skills : Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English.
• Experience : Minimum 8 years of professional experience, demonstrating a track record of leadership and achievement in any industry or domain.

Nice to Have

• Technical Skills : SQL proficiency is a plus.
• Experience : Background in e-commerce, tech industry, and vendor management.
