What you need to know about the role

Key responsibilities of this roles are:

  • Support the CFO and Senior Leadership team on key initiatives and processes, including the Board of Directors, Investor topics, and other CFO priorities. Be a strategic partner, providing clear and thoughtful analysis + communication.
  • Lead Finance content preparation and supporting analysis for the Board of Directors. Work across Finance Leadership team to provide visibility into company performance and execution progress.
  • Run PayPal, inc. long-term planning processes. Set the long-term financial framework. Translate impact of strategic goals and PayPal growth priorities into 3-year financial model. Partner with businesses and Corporate functions to identify and highlight key considerations in 3-year outlook.
  • Drive cross-business strategic initiatives. Lead early stage and/or exploratory cross-business initiatives – developing business case and financial plans, maximizing economics, and providing a risk-adjusted view.
  • Partner with businesses to implement standard work for strategic initiative updates, linking key operational metrics to financial results and providing an informed range of outcomes.
  • Lead a team of 5 senior professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Proven experience (12+ years) in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, or management consulting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role; prior publicly traded company experience strongly preferred
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable insights and strategic recommendations
  • Experience in fast-paced, agile and growth environments
  • Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate with variable levels of professionals
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively, anticipate future challenges, and drive innovative recommendations
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools
  • Strong leadership skills including high integrity, agility, collaboration and a team oriented mindset
