What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide end to end manufacturing assembly process solutions, including DFX (design for manufacturing, design for assembly, design for 6-sigma, design for testing, etc.). Identify, assess and apply risk mitigation, initiate and lead investigation of issues, root cause product failures, and drive corrective action.

  • Review of contract manufacturer (CM) readiness, lead and develop assembly fixture & jig, establish clear assembly and manufacturing specification through a step-by-step validation process.

  • Capture feedback through DFx, yield issues, repair center activities to improve workflow efficiency and analyze system assembly gap/step, study the cosmetic appearance, find improvement opportunities.

  • Assess automation cycle time and propose waste reduction, cost optimization, recommend technology aids, product design changes, and workspace layout modification to achieve optimum quality and efficiency.

  • Coordinate the purchase of special equipment, materials, and other parts to ensure they meet intended use, specifications, and quality standards.

  • Lead suppliers to optimize manufacturing process parameters i.e. cycle time, yield, identify critical parts or processes, apply industry standard methodologies, ensure optimal yield and efficiency to achieve NVIDIA capacity and cost target.

  • Evaluate CEM technology competitiveness recommend optimal assembly strategy to support NVIDIA innovation needs, handle numerous projects and resolve conflicts in a timely manner, lead continuous efficiency and performance improvement.

What we need to see:

  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical, thermal engineering, manufacturing or a related field (or equivalent experience). A master's degree is preferred.

  • 8+ years of proven mechanical/thermal architecture mentality, expertise in GD&T, tolerance analysis, 2D drawing, critical to manufacturing risk.

  • Good understanding of commonly used equipment manufacturing world, familiar with electrical or electro-mechanical components, as well as PCBA related manufacturing processes.

  • In depth mechanical/thermal background, proven track record in engineering design, manufacturing or product quality engineering in consumer electronics, GPU, automotive or server products

  • Technical and quality critical, effective problem-solver through teamwork and analytical ability, collecting, analyzing and interpreting data, proficient in SPC, 6 sigma, quality control, CpK, PPAP

  • Knowledgeable in DFM, DFA, DFx, manufacturing for design, manufacturing cost break down, accurately predict production performance
