As the Collections Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the collections activities of a team or department within an organization. You will lead a team of collections agents, providing guidance and support, and implementing strategies to optimize the collections process ensuring the timely and effective collection of outstanding debts from customers or clients, while maintaining positive relationships and providing excellent customer service.
Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:
  • Supervise a team of collections agents, providing guidance and support regards to the Global collection processes
  • Oversee the collection of outstanding debts from customers or clients. Monitor the aging of accounts, review delinquent accounts, and initiate appropriate actions to recover overdue payments. Utilize various collection methods, such as phone calls, letters, and negotiation, while adhering to legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster positive relationships with customers or clients while effectively managing collections. Handle escalated customer inquiries or complaints, resolve issues, and maintain a high level of customer service throughout the collections process.
  • Generate reports and analyze collection data to track performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions. Present collection metrics and analysis to management, highlighting areas of improvement and proposing strategies for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
To ensure you are set up for success, you will bring the following skillset and experience:
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, finance, accounting) or minimum of 4+ years equivalent experience.
  • You have strong knowledge of collections principles, practices, and strategies.
  • You are familiar with debt collection laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify trends, analyze data, and make informed decisions.
  • You have proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proven organizational skills and attention to detail in order to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
