As a Fund Servicing Associate II within theFund Services Trades Team. you will manage trade capture, validation and review of trades recorded in accounting books that leads to the correct valuation of the mutual fund clients. This Fund Services Trades Team take direct responsibility for the production, review and delivery of the activities related to Regulatory requirements and client reporting along with other activities. This role involves participation in the production and review from a detailed and quality perspective of both NAV impacting activities and regulatory reports. Domain Expert for the team .
Act as escalation point & ensure timely and appropriate escalation of actual/ potential delays and issues with the Supervisors and Management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Act as primary owner for all process related documentation including SLA and Standard Operating Procedures - Ensure timely update and sign off cycle for them.
- Oversee the accurate and timely completion of all reconciliation delivery as per SLA. Overall Domain Expert for the team to guide team for all queries and questions
- Perform review activities with attention to details and work towards planning/ implementing AI across various activities
- Provide leadership & ownership for all escalations, audits, client due diligences etc.
- Develop and implement efficient and standardized workflows within the team with effective controls at various points of hand offs. Consistently assess Training Needs for the team to ensure effective cross trainings reported through Skills Metrics
- Establish policies, procedures and guidelines which comply with internal and external controls to ensure that the statements and work to continuously strengthen the controls environment
- Ensure Stakeholder Management with onshore and Governance teams through effective Service Delivery and proactive approach towards client requirements
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- 10+ years’ experience in a Fund Services Trades or a good understanding of financial markets having worked in them.
- Good understanding of Capital Markets and related terminologies
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of global investment markets, instruments types, Asset classes, fund types and accounting policies
- Good Time Management Skills - Ability to manage conflicting priorities
- Knowledge of Trade capture must
- Strong analytical capabilities and MS Office skills
- Ability to think outside the box and challenge the status quo
- Experience in people management (inc. training, resource planning etc)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Knowledge of reconciliation preferred
- Knowledge of Invest One accounting system would be beneficial but not essential
- Knowledge of Custody and how it operates would be beneficial but not essential
- Good oral & written communication skills
- Control and procedure oriented
