WHAT YOU’LL DO

  1. Partner with our Legal and Privacy teams to design and implement comprehensive frameworks for privacy and data governance aligned with industry standards and regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and others.
  2. Data Lifecycle Management:Define and enforce technical procedures for the collection, storage, processing, and disposal of data to align with Wiz’s internal data policies and ensure compliance with privacy regulations and minimize data exposure.
  3. Privacy and Data Governance by Design:Integrate privacy and data governance principles into the design and development of our solutions and the use of third-party applications. Collaborate closely with product development teams to implement privacy-enhancing features and controls. Advise teams across Wiz on best practices and implementing controls when implementing third party tools that will handle Wiz or its customers data.
  4. Security Controls Implementation:Implement security controls and best practices to protect sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access.
  5. Continuous Compliance Monitoring:Implement continuous compliance monitoring and testing solutions to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.


WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • 6+ years of experience in privacy and data governance roles within the cybersecurity industry, preferably in a SaaS environment.
  • Security Controls Implementation: Implement security controls and best practices to protect sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access.
  • Proven in-depth knowledge of and hands on experience in practically implementing data protection laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and others. CIPT or equivalent certifications preferred.
  • Strong understanding of privacy-enhancing technologies, data encryption, anonymization techniques, and identity and access management principles.
  • Experience with risk assessment methodologies, privacy impact assessments, and developing privacy-by-design principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CIPP, CISSP, CISA) preferred.
