Key responsibilities
Acting as regional finance lead for the region, this role will:
Lead, coordinate, and drive HBS financial performance for the Region to ensure financial goals (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash commitments) are met while aligning with corporate policies and procedures.
Timely completion of reporting including Monthly Highlights, Pulse (weekly/daily), variance Analysis assessment and Monthly Financial Reviews, working closely with the project operation and PCO organization.
Acting as business partner, play an active role in the region's strategy by contributing and challenging the process.
Develop robust Management Operating System for the region and for the function.
Drive and track business productivity initiatives across multiple functions.
Set business financial targets by Country and line of business to achieve the financial plans and forecast
Timely collating, completion, submission, and reporting of region's forecast/AOP data in the respective tools and output
Advise business leadership of opportunities and risks impacting business performance.
Define, develop, and enthusiastically drive process improvements to reduce finance business process cycle times, improve financial forecast quality and reliability, improve information provided to leadership for business decisions.
Perform financial closing activities (Journal entries, P&L analysis and correction, orders stats, B/S verification) in sync with the latest Controllership and COTA organization.
Support Controller's department on internal and external audit requests
Ensure compliance with Corporate Policies and Procedures
Complete special and ad-hoc projects as requested to support business/Pole's needs.
Travelling 35-40% depending on business requirements and countries needs.
Involvement in executive visits and board meetings, providing overall regional leadership.
Improve SAP/Cora PPM utilization and digital literacy and data accuracy within the region
Billing quality: quick but right the 1st time.
Deploy digital efficiencies and championing project management system accuracy.
Manage regional Cash collection and past due reduction by better driving people behaviors, billing correctness, contract payment terms and milestones.
Working capital management
Ability to interpret Projects overrun avoidance / Contract profitability review and actions
- Actively participate in EAC deep dive and opportunity finding
- Drive pricing initiatives in the region and bid review
- Participates in regional project risk reviews and regional SEA approval
- Act as delegate for other regional finance leads as required
Key skills and qualifications
Ideally CIMA/ACA/CPA/MBA qualified
Excellent analytical skills - experience with Project Accounting preferred
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and advanced intermediate in Excel specifically
Systems Literacy - HFM; HSP; SAP; Cora, digital finance, and Tableau
Good understanding of project management/controls
Additional Language English and German is required.
