Key Responsibilities:
Head, Office of the VP / Head of Global Project and Alliance Management ourResearch & Development DivisionSubdivision
Maintain a future orientation, informed by outside-in and enterprise perspectives, to ensure continued focus and progress on key strategic priorities for the GPAM organization.
Oversees the portfolio of change initiatives that are critical to achievement of GPAM’s long term vision. Tracks and monitors priority initiatives to ensure adequate resourcing and timely execution. Identifies overlapping initiatives and if needed, aligns/stops activities to ensure efficient use of GPAM resources.
Participates on and / or leads (as the GPAM Leader’s representative or delegate), ourResearch & Development Divisionbusiness improvement initiatives and Corporate / Enterprise business improvement initiatives
Provide business management support for
Defines the processes and tools required to drive the effective operation of the Office of the Head of ourResearch & Development DivisionGPAM
Assesses inquiries directed to ourResearch & Development DivisionGPAM Leader, determines the proper course of action and delegates to the appropriate individual to manage.
Ensures the schedule of ourResearch & Development DivisionGPAM Leader maximizes his/her time to highest priorities of GPAM andour Research & Development Division.
Directs and oversees the creation of business presentations to be used both externally and internally by ourResearch & Development DivisionGPAM Leader, his / her LT, Staff Managers, and Staff.
Acts with a high degree of independence and authority on behalf of ourResearch & Development DivisionGPAM Leader to facilitate productive interactions, partnerships, and collaborations across ourResearch & Development Divisionand other divisions.
Fosters relationships with thought leaders in innovation development and project management within biopharma and other science-based product innovation industries to bring innovation, external perspectives, new ideas, and best practices into GPAM for discussion and potential incubation.
Partners with ourResearch & Development DivisionGPAM Leader to provide day-to-day leadership and management activities essential to GPAM success including:
Drives the agenda and delivery of GPAM LT strategy meetings that define the multi-year long term vision, annual plan, and quarterly refresh.
Supports the agenda of bi-weekly GPAM LT operations structures, including purpose of each meeting topic, collating pre-read materials, facilitating meeting execution, and captures resulting actions, decisions, issues and responsible individuals.
Leads post-meeting activities to ensure expected outcomes are achieved; follows up on action items appropriately with accountable staff.
Coordinates and directs transformational and operational messages on behalf of GPAM leadership through various communications vehicles.
Facilitates communication between ourResearch & Development DivisionGPAM Leader, direct reports, staff managers, and staff by sharing and clarifying information. Directs and oversees communication events, such as GPAM Town Halls, Face to Face Departmental All Hands Meetings, and Ad-hoc communications as necessary.
Collaborates with GPAM LT, ourResearch & Development DivisionFinance, and HR teams to define long term organizational plan and its translation to financial / resource requirements, defines annual budget and quarterly forecasts, drivees to budgetary and headcount targets. Supports ad-hoc headcount and financial activities throughout the year as needed to drive day to day operations of the department
Collaborates with Global Services functions (i.e. IT, HR, L&D, Facilities, Real Estate, Procurement, Global Security, Legal) to support the day-to-day operations of the department
Education Minimum Requirement:
BA/BS (scientific, engineering, or related discipline strongly preferred).
Required Experience and Skill:
10+ years of experience in R&D PM at Pharma / Biotech companies or related organization and/or 3+ years of experience in Pharma R&D Management Consulting at a large professional services firm in a manager or Director-level role.
Preferred Experience:
R&D portfolio/program management experience in Pharma or Biotech industry.
Experience in planning and execution of strategies for drug or vaccine product registration, commercialization and life-cycle management in R&D.
Expertise in innovation development across biopharma and other science-based product industries with ability to drive innovative approaches and share cross-industry perspectives, new ideas, and best practices into new settings and environments.
Demonstrated ability and expertise to analyze, integrate, recommend, and contribute to the development of conceptual plans for, and lead strategic, process and team improvement and change initiatives cross-functionally.
Demonstrated ability and expertise in organizational change management, communications, and stakeholder / relationship management to build high performing organizations and drive business results
Demonstrated ability to apply critical / creative thinking and problem-solving ad-hoc executive level tasks and assignments with short timelines.
Demonstrated ability and expertise in supporting day-to-day activities related to functional business operations and management
Preferred Skills:
Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization including senior executives and stakeholders.
Experience working within multiple companies across Pharma and Biotech.
Direct managerial, coaching or mentoring experience.
Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments.
Effective, versatile and action-oriented.
Effective at energizing others, establishing clear goals, delegating responsibility, and mentoring and coaching within a team setting.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected US salary range:
