About the role:

  • Experience influencing and executing divisional strategy through business case development and resource prioritization.
  • Experience managing partner evaluation, pilot programs, and the Sourced Finished Medical Device (SFMD) diligence process.
  • Experience executing contracts in coordination with BD, Legal, IP, Supply Chain, Quality, and Commercial functions.
  • Leadership development and coaching on technical skills, including contract negotiation, validating and pressure testing forecasts and other assumptions, and partner relationship management.
  • Exposure to senior leadership and franchise leadership in Urology

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and maintain deep understanding of Urology division’s franchises, adjacent opportunities, and strategic goals.
  • Collaborate across the Urology Franchise Leadership Teams (FLTs) and Operations/Quality to augment internal R&D with external partnerships through co-development agreements, distribution agreements, and strategic partnerships.
  • Execute contract negotiations for co-development agreements, distribution agreements, and co-marketing agreements.
  • Support development of presentations for divisional leadership to justify moving forward with potential partnership opportunities.
  • Act as point of contact for outside parties approaching Boston Scientific and coordinate interactions with potential partners. Provide detailed meeting reports (including guidance on capabilities, strategic fit, potential financial impact, and key risks) to key stakeholders and coordinate next steps internally as appropriate.
  • Identify and coordinate internal resources required to evaluate opportunities and specific partners. Manage cross-functional teams consisting of representatives from Marketing, R&D, Quality, Operations, Clinical, Regulatory, Legal and other functions as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, and strategy team in developing financial models assessing markets and financial returns.
  • In all actions, demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.


Required qualifications:

  • University degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience required; advanced/graduate degree preferred.7-10 years experience in the medical device industry
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional projects to successful execution
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into a strategic, cohesive, and succinct business plan.
  • Demonstrated experience building market, revenue, or investment models.
  • Solid capabilities building and leveraging relationships.
  • Ability to positively represent Boston Scientific with external parties.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% including some international travel
