What You’ll Do
  • Lead quality engineers to support production lines in MegafactoryLathrop site and build a network across Nevada and New York factories toleverage good practices and continuous improvement
  • Lead of quality improvement initiatives across suppliers,design, manufacturing, service and field quality
  • Own Megapack Product Quality during its entire lifecycle,by implementing and sustaining Advanced Product Quality Planning practices,driving continuous improvement in field quality, production yield and supplychain of fabricated and purchased components
  • Establish and meet clear quality metrics and objectivesfor Megafactory site and Energy business
  • Drive professional problem solving to root cause andcorrect failures in production and the field
  • Master and nurture a data driven team with advancedstatistical, analysis and visualization skills
  • Support a 24x7 global business with the needed sense ofurgency to protect Tesla customers and business, while enabling work-lifebalance, commitment, and fun at work
  • Develop and motivate a high performing team ofexceptional engineers, supervisors and technicians to be proud to take place inTesla’s mission to transition the world towards sustainable energy
  • Sustain compliancy and certification for qualitymanagement and required product standards. (ISO9001, NRTL, TUV, Intertek, UL,customer audits, etc)
  • Lead a quality assurance team of technicians andsupervisors to support production 24x7, implementing consistent standard workand training, to ensure that all products meet specifications and qualityissues are prevented or addressed immediately
What You’ll Bring
  • Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Materials orIndustrial Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience of Quality leadership inmanufacturing and/or designing new products for high volume operations.Experience with electric grid infra structure equipment manufacturing preferred
  • Proven track record to build and lead a strong team in a24x7 manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in Root CauseAnalysis, Statistical Analysis, APQP and SixSigma tools and methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize in highlydynamic production environment
  • Able to work well under pressure while managing competingdemands and tight deadlines
  • Ability to resolve quality issues with urgency on a 24x7production environment, which require flexibility when the need arises. Remainengaged, proactive, and positive in tough circumstances
  • Dependable leader and professional problem solver thatseek solutions rather than only pointing problems
  • Detail oriented with strong record-keeping andorganizational skills. Communicate clearly using excellent written and verbalskills
  • A successful candidate should be able to demonstrateexcellence in the required engineering skills while using outstandinginterpersonal, team building and communication skills to make a positive impactin the team and Tesla
