RESPONSIBILITIES: Warehouse Management:
• Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and order fulfillment.
• Ensure proper inventory control, accuracy, and regular cycle counting.
• Implement safety and security measures to protect warehouse staff and assets.
• Streamline warehouse layout and processes for maximum efficiency. Team Management:
• Supervise and direct a team of logistics staff, including warehouse workers and administrative personnel.
• Assign tasks, set performance goals, and provide training and guidance to team members.
• Conduct performance evaluations and address any performance issues or conflicts within the team. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess logistics performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Generate reports on logistics activities, including shipment status, inventory levels, and cost analysis.
• Analyze data and provide recommendations for process enhancements and cost optimization. Planning and Coordination:
• Develop and implement logistics strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize supply chain efficiency.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders, including suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and internal departments, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
• Plan and schedule shipments, considering factors such as product availability, transportation modes, and delivery deadlines. Transportation and Distribution:
• Select and engage with transportation providers and manage transportation costs.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure efficient product flow.
• Track and trace shipments, monitor delivery progress, and address any issues or delays.
• Optimize transportation routes and modes to minimize costs and transit times. Compliance and Quality:
• Deploy E-QMS
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to logistics and transportation.
• Mitigate risks associated with logistics operations, such as supplier delays, inventory discrepancies, or transportation disruptions.
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures and standards. Continuous Improvement:
• Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and service enhancements.
• Implement new technologies, systems, or tools to streamline logistics operations.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in logistics and supply chain management.
