What you'll do:

Associate Experience is a group within the Intelligent Store Tech (IST) org within Walmart. IST builds products that enable the best checkout experience for our store Customers. Within IST as part of the Associate Experience group, you will lead a group of engineers focused on building tools to enable our Associates to serve our customers at the checkout lanes.

What you’ll do:

  • Provides technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in solution design, architecture, and development.
  • Provide guidance and lead a team of engineers to build software solutions for our Associates and ensure alignment with the IST Architecture vision.
  • Work closely with Program, Product, Business, and Design partners to plan work (by sprint and by quarter), always ensuring engineering items are also prioritized.
  • Design and develop in large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects.
  • Maintain an unwavering focus on Observability and ensures everything can be measured.
  • Directs root cause analysis of critical business and production issues.

What you’ll bring:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience with 2+ years of experience managing high-performing engineering teams in fast-paced environment.
  • Leading large-scale systems in fast-paced environments, experience in hiring and mentoring world-class engineering teams.
  • Experience working with micro-services architecture and distributed systems.
  • Passionate about reviewing code, familiarity with Automation Tools and strong customer focus and obsession with quality.
  • Proficiency in back-end technologies and experience in developing APIs using Java, Spring Boot.
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks like ReactJS or React Native.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management.
  • Passion for staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: - Stock Minimum Qualifications...
