The key responsibilities

  • Design and develop robust, scalable, and high-performance OutSystems applications using agile development methodologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to other developers on the team
  • Conduct application requirements gathering and design review sessions with relevant stakeholders
  • Fix critical issues and maintain applications
  • Responsible for end-to-end development of the application and its enhancements
  • Leverage industry and technical background to create high-level solutions with long-term value

To qualify for the role, you must have / be able to demonstrate a combination of the following:

  • Working experience with OutSystems platform (or relevant Mendix, Appian etc)
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle
  • Proficiency in web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem solver in a collaborative way
  • Flexibility in adapting your approach to meet the needs of the client and/or your team(s)
  • Ability to work in multicultural projects and environments
  • Knowledge and experience in support tools for agile methodologies (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Appetite to take ownership of several complex initiatives
  • Good appreciation of current market trends (Cloud, Data Analytics, Emerging Technologies etc.) and how these are likely to impact key industry players
  • Dedication to working with your colleagues as part of a high-performing team
  • Natural curiosity and the confidence to provide alternative options or suggestions when you see something that could be improved
  • Passion to lend subject matter expertise to the design, planning and implementation of strategic transformational initiatives for our clients
