As an AI Core Developer, you will have the unique opportunity to join the SAP Artificial Intelligence product engineering team within SAP’s AI unit. You will collaborate with seasoned software engineers, architects, DevOps experts and AI specialists to explore cutting-edge topics in the cloud AI ecosystem.
Your tasks will include:
• Explore, understand, and implement most recent technologies and approaches for cloud platform and data pipelines.
• Design and develop a high-performance platform capable of handling and processing large volumes of requests efficiently.
• Work within a diverse team, employing scrum and agile development methodologies.
• Create excellence both in terms of results quality and system scalability through continuous evaluation, analysis, and refinement of the system implementation.
• Strive for automation and cloud operation readiness.
• Performing quality assurance tasks and solving complex integration issues.
• Ability to work in global teams with different time zones.
• Immerse yourself quickly into new topics, terminology, and development tasks.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3 to 7 years of working experience as a software developer, preferably in AI-focused cloud/container application development.
• A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in algorithms, data structures, objects-oriented programming, design patterns, multi-threaded programming, and software design principles
• Sound experience in cloud native development
• Strong coding development and debugging skills, including hands-on experience with Go and Python.
• Experience working with message queues such as Kafka and a clear understanding of pub-sub systems.
• Hands-on experience in developing REST APIs using frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI etc.
• Experience working with DevOps including but not limited to container technologies like Docker & Kubernetes, as well as Cloud Native technology stack such as Istio, Helm, etcd, Argo, and Envoy
• Experience with cloud-based application development using platforms such as SAP’s business technology platform, AWS, Azure & GCP.
