Our CCaSS team is growing exponentially, and as a Senior Consultant - Sustainable Assurance, you’ll play a key role in that growth.
Your Key Responsibilities
- In this role you will work as part of a wider team to support business development efforts, win project work and advise EY's clients on sustainability advisory, assurance and related services. You will:
- Provide assurance for non-financial information and reports (according to e.g. ISAE 3000);
- Participate in performing sustainability audit procedures, especially focusing on complex and/or specialized issues.
- Collaborate to plan objectives and a sustainability audit strategy that complies with professional standards and appropriately addresses risk.
- Collaborate with the Managers and the Partners to execute the CCaSS audit strategy that satisfies high client expectations, support the planning, execution and delivery of the engagements;
- Contribute actively in the engagement team to understand and respond to the client's needs and expectations and develop a client-focused, clear, accurate and well-presented work product;
- Ensure work is delivered in a timely manner and in compliance with EY high standard requirements;
- Assist in developing new opportunities related to new sustainability assurance projects and relationships;
- Contribute to the development of the CCaSS team supporting junior members and leading by example.
- Performing / supervising of the performance of audit procedures in accordance with EY’s methodology and quality standards

To qualify for the role you must have
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Sustainable Development, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Economics or similar fields of study
- At least 3 years of work experience in a relevant field
- Previous experience in audit (minimum 2 years)
- A very good understanding of key sustainability issues and trends and how they link to business value
- Understanding of risk-based auditing and risk and control strategies
- Compliance with and understanding of regulatory requirements
- Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support
- Strong technical, quantitative and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Romanian.
