Your key responsibilities
- Oversee team of consultants and seniors related to performing tax compliance for CLOs
- Improve the performance of tax functions, team with and motivate others, and develop meaningful and influential relationships with clients and colleagues
- Serve as a technical resource for complex tax items related to CLOs
- Help develop and maintain proprietary CLO tax technology
- Train and develop staff members
- Drive growth and profitability for the CLO tax practice
- Contribute to a positive team environment by taking an active role in counseling and mentoring consultants and seniors
- Some travel may be required (varies based on location and client need)
To qualify for the role, you must have
- A bachelor's degreeAccounting or related field
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
- CPA, JD, LLM or EA
- Extensive tax compliance and consulting experience serving CLO clients
- Understanding of the reporting requirements for PFICs and CFCs.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of bad debt, bond premium, foreign currency transactions, market discount and original issue discount tax rules.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Master’s degreein Accounting or related field required
- Exposure to the financial services industry, accounting/finance/tax, tax or finance performance improvement, tax software development and/or implementation
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, analytical abilities
- Project management and critical thinking skills
- Experience with international tax compliance

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $102,600 to $188,000. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $123,100 to $213,700. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
