You will be responsible for Rates Regulatory reporting and controls which are run across APAC/US ,EMEA regions .You will need to provide oversight and supervise remediation of the exception management queue, review cross LOBs metrics and create and/or execute timely remediation plans to senior management . This will need clear understanding of the break and root cause , ability to communicate this Technology , Operation leads to ensure a path to improved metrics. You will need to supervise the BAU operation team to ensure any manual remediation is managed within agreed timelines.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Investigation and Exception management of Reg reporting breaks. Resolution of breaks via manual remediation or Strategic Technology fixes and tracking of the same .
  • Continuous Focus on deep dive and fixing on upstream issues to keep the breaks to minimum. Routing of Breaks to Middle Offices, Valuation Control Group etc
  • Contribution to regulatory reporting in coordination with the global projects team and DCO MIS team for compliance with Dodd Frank, EMIR, and other regulations. Improving controls in the process & ensure 100% accuracy and compliance to Regulatory rules
  • Manage any new analysis requirements across multiple stakeholders. Regular update to senior management on regulatory reporting changes, compliance, projects updated and issues.
  • Stakeholder Management – Daily in terms of exception management, performance, feedback etc. Continuous Focus on deep dive and fixing on upstream issues to keep the breaks to minimum.
  • Routing of Breaks to Middle Offices/Confirmations teams etc. Testing when required of any fixes applied co-ordination / partnership with multiple teams as required to ensure completion .
  • Key role in regulatory reporting in coordination with the Tech for compliance with Dodd Frank, EMIR, and other regulations

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:

  • Graduate or Post-Graduate with 10+ years’ experience in operations.
  • Familiarity with a global bank's process & operational environment including management and external reporting is a must. Strong business knowledge i.e. Investment Banking, including OTC product, process and system knowledge.
  • Ability to think and act strategically:
    • Deal with day-to-day issues as well as planning and executing projects / initiatives
    • Ensuring the team's activities support Operations in attaining its strategic goals
    • Excellent attention to detail, and an ability to know when a deep-dive approach is appropriate
  • Can operate effectively in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines, and can prioritize one's own work to achieve them
  • Skilled in identifying talent, recruiting, coaching, mentoring, and developing team members
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and adept at communicating with all levels of the business and technical parts of the organization
