Description
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: - Conduct assessments of optical sensing systems to meet an array of use cases. - Perform simulations to generate system and module level requirements for cameras, optical depth sensors, and IMU systems. - Architect, develop and prototype practical and implementable analysis algorithms. - Advise on the trades between different sensor hardware, software, and algorithms. - Perform large scale data analysis and generate validation metrics. - Deliver executive level presentations.
Minimum Qualifications
  • PhD in EE/CS/Physics or M.S. with 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience developing system architecture, sensor systems analysis, and modeling.
  • Strong fundamentals in sensors and the impact of impairments on sensor performance.
  • Exceptional HW/SW problem solving skills.
  • Strong SW development skills in C/C++, Python, MATLAB programming.
  • Strong algorithm prototyping and development experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Good understanding of optical and/or IMU sensors and signal processing.
  • Large scale data analysis and knowledge of statistical techniques.
  • Strong communication, documentation and presentation skills.
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700 and $300,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
