Excellence & Risk Management:

  • Adopt a “running the business” mindset, managing risks, ensuring data integrity, and promoting an overall well-managed environment

  • Maintain overall responsibility for the credit and investment review and approval process, portfolio management and construction loan administration throughout the deal lifecycle with an enterprise mindset collaborating broadly with internal and external partners to ensure the highest level of impact and service

  • Regularly evaluate and contribute to the improvement of our processes; always look to drive simple, scalable impact and durable results

  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of the bank, its customers, portfolio exposure, competitive environment, economic trends and policies

  • Partner with business and Community Finance functions to foster an environment of open dialogue around risk tolerance and credit appetite

  • Identify and assess the risk profile of debt and equity investments and propose grounded solutions to ensure risk is mitigated and client objectives are met within appropriate credit, investment and regulatory guidelines

  • Partner seamlessly with internal and external teams to develop and meet key milestones throughout the deal lifecycle

  • Coordinate with various CF functional teams and other departments in the servicing of client relationships

  • Oversee periodic reporting requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or military experience

  • At least 8 years of experience in strategy, business development, underwriting, or asset management in the field of affordable housing or commercial real estate

  • At least 3 years of experience with mission-driven lending or investments or community development lending or investments

  • At least 3 years of experience in people leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master’s degree in Finance, Real Estate or other related discipline

  • 10+ years of affordable housing, community development, LIHTC experience

  • 5+ years of experience in people leadership

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and accuracy

  • Completion of a commercial credit training program, or extensive credit, financial analysis and financial modeling experience

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
