Job Summary: The Senior Manager/Associate Director of Market Insights and Forecasting is a pivotal role responsible for leading and executing market research initiatives and forecasting activities within the oncology sector of the pharmaceutical industry. This position requires a professional with solid experience in both market insights and forecasting, capable of delivering strategic and actionable insights that support decision-making across marketing, sales, market access, and other commercial functions. The ideal candidate will have a background in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with a strong emphasis on oncology. This role is primarily in-office, with some flexibility for remote work and limited domestic travel.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Insights and Research:

Lead and manage primary and secondary market research projects to inform and guide strategic business decisions in the oncology space.

Oversee the generation of market insights that support launch planning, strategy, and tactical development for oncology indications.

Collect, analyze, and synthesize market information from diverse sources to provide insights on market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and product performance.

Collaborate with global teams to develop launch strategies and execute supporting insights projects.

Establish and manage tracking studies, KPIs, and routine performance tracking for oncology products.

Develop, maintain, and update product forecasts for both in-line and pipeline oncology products, incorporating advanced forecasting models and methodologies.

Present forecasting insights to senior leadership, providing clear explanations of assumptions, methodologies, and results.

Incorporate market insights into forecasting assumptions and track key metrics through established studies.

Translate complex research findings into actionable and simple recommendations for senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Lead the development of management and executive performance reports and presentations.

Collaborate with stakeholders across marketing, sales, market access, and medical affairs to ensure insights inform key business strategies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Economics, Life Sciences). A Master’s degree (MBA, MS) is preferred.

7-10 years of experience in market research, analytics, and forecasting within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.

Proven track record of managing and executing both qualitative and quantitative market research projects in oncology.

Experience with advanced forecasting techniques, statistical modeling, and scenario planning.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide strategic insights.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Proficiency in forecasting software and data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, SAS, Power BI).

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to create compelling data visualizations.

Working knowledge of Business Intelligence tools and programming (e.g., SQL, SAS) preferred.
