The PLC & Automation Engineer is responsible for developing automation of tool, fixtures & Machines. Continuously improves existing equipment and provide technical solutions for new design
Your responsibilities will be to:
Automation of tools, fixtures & Machines
Analyse and solve deviations found in existing equipment, automation of existing equipment
Conduct employee training related to mechanical design
Prepare and update design documentation (electrical schematic, automation flow, Machine manual)
Involved in regular development team meetings
Our requirements:
BSc or MSc degree in Electrical engineering
Preferably more than two years of relevant professional experience with machines in manufacturing companies, assembly shops or similar
Understanding of manufacturing and quality engineering principles and concepts
Ability to collect information to reduce future failures, capture engineering knowledge
Mindset for early identification and elimination of potential failure modes
Good technical English language skills spoken and written
Knowledge of PLC programming (Simens, Keyence, Omron etc.) & TCP/IP toolkit, automation systems – sensors/transducers and their applications, network principles (router, switch, client/server applications), traceability systems (RFID, barcode)
Knowledge of Robot programming (Fanuc, Kuka, Yaskawa, ABB, Mitsubishi...) & Automated Optical Inspection systems (Keyence, Omron, Cognex...) is an advantage
