As a Finance Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Partner with Global Business leaders to develop & deliver targets aligned with division financial targets
  • Trusted member of the business unit operating committee
  • Lead and support collaboration with business leaders to drive productivity improvements, cost reduction, portfolio prioritization, NPI, sales and marketing productivity as per business models and capital management
  • Lead annual Operating Plan and Strategic Plan processes for the business unit
  • Provide financial leadership for CBTD functional budget setting and spend performance for the global division
  • Leverage information and analysis to influence decision making Provide insights and establish predictive analytics of financial performance to division leadership
  • Support compliance with 3M Global Financial Standards (GAAP)


To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Five (5) years of Finance and/or Accounting experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Two (2) years of experience providing financial counsel

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • MBA or graduate degree in Finance from an accredited institution
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and conflicting deadlines
  • Solid business knowledge and acumen as well as strategic thinking mindset
  • Creative problem solving - ability to work with diverse functional teams to address key issues
  • Ability to translate data into meaningful financial insights and analysis
  • Self-starter with ability to drive change
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Experience leading others and contributing on cross-functional teams
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with Longview

Work location:

  • Maplewood, MN (Employee choice to work remote, on site, or hybrid)
