In this role you will support The Commercial Director Global Accounts as well as the Regional Directors and be involved in the contract negotiations for our biggest chain partners. In doing so you will be responsible for the financial modeling of the different scenarios and business cases, providing advice to the negotiating team, facilitating the right approvals and tracking the outcomes back to the original cases. You will also provide this support for small scale tests we might undertake with these types of partners.

In this role you will have a lot of impact as you have the opportunity to drive decision making with our biggest partner accounts. And you will be responsible for ongoing reporting vs budget and ad-hoc (performance) analysis wherever there is a need from the business.

Due to the dynamic and fast-paced nature of our organization, the tasks and duties of this role will evolve over time. You will be keen to develop and grow within the role and challenge yourself to take on additional projects and responsibilities as they present themselves.

As Senior Financial Analyst you will be responsible for:

  • Support and be involved in negotiations with our biggest accommodation partners;
  • Support with forecasting, variance analysis and reporting of financial performance;
  • End to end responsibility of the chain segment P&L forecast;
  • Drive further process and systems improvements in order to optimize the insights and speed at which these insights can be delivered;
  • Contribute to robust, scalable and insightful reporting for the Global Accounts segment to track performance and proactively identify trends and opportunities for the segment globally
  • Proactively deliver intelligence based on data to support and advise the FP&A team and/or business partners whenever necessary;
  • Provide analytical support and contribute to strategic decision making;
  • Continuously seek ways to improve and optimize the ways of working and insights provided to fit with evolving requests from senior management;
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis, scenarios and benchmarking as needed.

As Financial Analyst you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance or other related field (preferred);
  • 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role;
  • Strong business acumen, financial modeling and analytical skills;
  • High attention to detail and ability to connect the dots and reconcile multiple data sources;
  • Able to deal with high pressure situations in and around negotiations;
  • High level of learning agility to understand the business, FP&A function, processes and systems
  • Ability to respond to and recover quickly from setbacks and challenging stakeholder feedback
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present to different audiences;
  • Self-driven mentality, proactively seeking to find solutions to problems and providing the best analytics possible to key decision makers;
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel;
  • Experience with SQL, data mining and reporting tools;
  • Ability to understand, work with and proactively advise and influence senior business stakeholders;
  • Sees the headlines or big picture whilst having attention for the details;
  • Strong team-working skills with ability to work independently;
