The primary responsibilities for Platform Architect will include but are not limited to:
- Directs a team of platform architects developing architecture specifications for highly optimized, modular, and scalable platforms.
- Manages team functions, activities, and responsibilities to ensure architecture aligns to hardware features, requirements, use cases, and interoperability of hardware and software throughout the product life cycle.
- Drives hardware enhancements from original concept through final implementation across all platform architectures and assesses impact on performance and capacity.
- Works with cross functional teams to define platform functionality, connectivity, configuration, performance, timing, power, and area goals and helps in driving the tradeoffs between ingredient and IP.
- Oversees and guides technology roadmaps while keeping current with technology trends. Collaborates with cross functional engineering managers and architects to enable new hardware and software technologies.
- Responsible for enabling teams to execute through clear goal setting, facilitating work, maintaining accountability, applying differentiated performance management, and driving team results.
- Drives results by inspiring people, role modeling Intel values, developing the capabilities of others, and ensuring a productive work environment.

Qualifications:Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or in a STEM related field of study.
- 8+ years of experience in hardware and SoC and IP architecture design (APR, Synthesis, Timing closure, EMIR flows).
- 2+ years of experience in design and process technology requirements and implications such as (GAA, or FinFet.)
- Experience with EDA (electronic design automation) tools to accomplish the design of an integrated circuit.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Post graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or in a STEM related field of study.
- Experience in managing relationships with customers, suppliers, or partners in areas such as PDK/EDA enablement, integrated circuit design, FIP/CIP design, development engagement, or product management, including technology development.
- Experience creating a process design kit (PDK) used in silicon design.
- Experience with TFM (tools, flows, and methodologies) requirements and partner with TFM teams to understand implications of development.
