Experience in Deploying/Operating DCI and Long-haul Optical networks in heterogenous environment
In depth understanding of signal propagation and impairments in Optical fiber and various fiber types, transceiver hardware used at Client and Line end of transmission equipment
Knowledge of DWDM and various modulation techniques used for transporting high speed client demands such as 100GE,400GE and beyond on Coherent and PAM4
Good understanding of Optical Control Plane, Optical feedback loops, Optical network health parameters (e.g.OSNR,BER,Q-factoretc), L0/L1 protection schemes used in Opticaltransport
Basic and integration knowledge of L2 and L3 protocols such as Ethernet, IP, MPLS, RSVP, LACP, Etc.
Implement modern telemetry and drive a standardized schema for event/alarms andpmsin multi-vendor environment
Collaborate across functional teams toidentifyopportunities andestablishtechnical requirements for current and futureOpticaltransport systems.
Experience in one or moreprogramming languages: C++, Java, Python, Perl.
Experience in understanding and authoringmachine-readableformats likeXML,JSON.
Excellent communication skills and team player with ability to build solidrelationshipsat all levels,across teams,geographies,and business functions.
Experience in solving broad business problems and analytical skills.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with internal business units and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions efficiently from design to implementation.
Automate repetitive tasks to reduce implementation time and minimize human error, solving network problems at cloud scale with an automation mindset.
Participate in on-call rotations for network incident support, using software-enabled tools to quickly mitigate impact and restore service availability.
Troubleshoot live site issues with minimal disruption, validate network devices, identify and locate necessary data, and guide data center teams on hardware maintenance.
Evangelize best practices in network engineering across teams and contribute to postmortem and root-cause analysis to improve reliability.
Share timely, audience-tailored information across disciplines and provide feedback and mentorship while actively seeking the same from peers.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of network standards and automation, ensuring efficient project execution and continuous improvement.
